White House Communication Official Omarosa Manigault-Newman is vacating her position in the Trump administration, effective January 20. She has received wide criticism from both the left and the right for her “antics”  while in her role under Trump, including bringing her 39-member wedding party to the White House for an unscheduled photo op. Fellow staffers say that it was not clear to others what Omarosa Manigault-Newman’s duties as a White House staffer were, though she was taken to task for operating outside of White House protocol. In this “Year of the Silence Breakers,” it seems that almost daily, we’re shocked and dismayed at yet another report of sexual misconduct, often by men we’ve trusted and admired up to this point. People on both sides of the aisle are finding that it’s a tricky position to be in when they rally against an accused member of the opposite party, only to learn of similar allegations against a member of their own party.
